Vic skip to jump ship

Victorian Captain Matthew Wade has announced plans to move home to Tasmania at the end of the season.

The incumbent Australian wicket-keeper told cricket.com.au that the move is family centric and would end a decade long player association with the state.

‘My wife Julia and I now have a young daughter and both of our families are based in Tasmania so we would like to be closer to them.’

Wade’s exit would make way for a new gloveman and the Bushrangers would also need to find a captain to fill the void, with former skipper Cameron White the most likely replacement at this stage.
