Myer teams up with Tesla
Come Friday morning, residents of Melbourne will be able to buy the newly-released ‘Model X’ by Tesla while simultaneously squeezing into a new pair of Levi’s.
This peculiar reality is thanks to a deal struck between American automaker Tesla and retail giant Myer.
With a retail price of $115 000, the new car is reportedly part of Myer’s push to broaden their products and services.
Myer’s head of brand and marketing, Mike Scott, said the Tesla deal gives consumers “what they want, when they want it”.
“Part of being a retailer in this day is competing on a global stage. Technology has shortened the supply chain, so we’re competing with the biggest and best,” Mr Scott said.
